Special Education Teacher – San Tan Valley, AZ

Pay Rate: $48–$50 per hour

Schedule: 40 hours/week

Duration: January 2026 – May 2026 (Remainder of 2025–2026 School Year)

Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to provide high-quality educational services to students in grades K–8. This role involves delivering specialized instruction, offering tutorial assistance, and collaborating with general education staff to ensure student success. The ideal candidate is comfortable working across all grade levels and has experience with resource and self-contained settings.

Responsibilities

+ Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.

+ Provide direct instruction and support in resource and self-contained environments.

+ Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers.

+ Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

+ Manage a caseload of approximately 30–35 students.

Requirements

+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred).

+ Valid Arizona teaching certificate with Special Education endorsement.

+ Minimum of one year teaching experience (preferred).

+ Familiarity with Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) practices (preferred).

+ Current CPR certification and health clearance as required.

+ Must meet all state and federal requirements and be at least 18 years of age.

+ Grade Levels: K–8 Resource; must be comfortable with all grade levels and self-contained settings if needed.

+ Caseload: 30–35 students (varies by enrollment and staffing).

+ Start Date: January 2026

+ End Date: May 2026
