    Summary:

    The Psychiatric Clinician I is conditionally licensed to practice under the supervision of an independently licensed clinician in the treatment of mental health, substance misuse or co-occurring behavioral health disorders both in person and by telehealth. The psychiatric clinician I provides psychiatric evaluations and consultation at varying levels of urgency for all pediatric and adult populations. The psychiatric clinician I will work in the Emergency Department, the medical floors and in the Birthplace. The psychiatric clinician I frequently consults with medical providers and other care team members. The psychiatric clinician I works under the direct supervision of the Director, Behavior Health, the ED provider or hospitalist, and the PMHNP assigned to the shift. Acting as a liaison with many community providers the psychiatric clinician I is responsible for advocating for the most appropriate, least restrictive services for the patient. The psychiatric clinician I participates in weekly clinical supervision and comes prepared to each supervision session with an active list of consultation needs.

    Responsibilities:

    + Completes comprehensive, diagnostic evaluations by collecting data which enables the identification of potential therapeutic targets for active treatment.

    + Completes documentation that reflects evidence-based practices, active patient involvement in care, attention to objective outcomes and identification of any barriers to accessing treatment options.

    + Continually seeks to develop professionally by attending didactic clinical and interdisciplinary trainings with identified specialty areas.

    + Can be a licensed LMSW – CC or LCPC-C, LCSW, LCPC or LMFT.
