Summary:
Content Engineering is a horizontal function in the Meta Superintelligence Labs (MSL) that shapes AI product experiences through content strategy, prompt engineering, and creative execution. Sitting at the intersection of creative content and directing large-language model behavior, content engineers partner closely with technical, product, and design teams to build and ship products from lab to production, across different modalities and mediums. They serve as a point of contact for internal stakeholders working across AI on priority product initiatives, and aim to build experiences that entertain, inform and delight.MSL is seeking an experienced content engineer–or a candidate with adjacent experience–to join the team to lead editorial direction and operational evidence of success.If you’re innately curious about the creative potential of generative artificial intelligence, fascinated by new developments in research and product development, take pride in identifying efficiencies in process and operations and motivated by ambiguity, we encourage you to apply.
Required Skills:
Content Engineer Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute program plans to deliver high-quality AI-powered content products, ensuring timely delivery
2. Develop processes to build guidelines and measurement frameworks that set quality standards for products and features
3. Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder expectations
4. Lead through influence and collaboration within GenAI Content Engineering team and relevant stakeholders
5. Identify processes and opportunities to influence through scale

6. Previous experience collaborating with product and technical teams
7. Proficiency in editing
8. Demonstrated critical thinking skills and evidenced track record of editorial judgment around nuanced topics
9. Experience leading and collaborating on cross-functional projects to build products, respond to urgent needs, preempt issues and address concerns in collaborative and timely fashion
10. Experience building products related to broad communities and niche topics
11. Experience driving the development of high-quality content and managing complex, fast-moving projects
12. Previous experience with GenAI, particularly model evaluation, proven editorial judgment and experience with strategic planning, resource allocation and vendor management

13. Experience working with product teams or programs (or other equivalent fields) from roadmapping through delivery
14. Experience working in Generative AI and prompt engineering, annotation, and evals
15. Familiarity with Associated Press Style Authoring
Public Compensation:
$159,000/year to $223,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
