Summary:
Our data centers are the foundation upon which our rapidly scaling infrastructure efficiently delivers Meta’s services. Meta’s Energy Team is seeking a commercially-experienced energy professional to help grow and manage our data center portfolio. This role will focus on building strategic energy partnerships and collaborating closely with the leasing team to shape and execute our energy strategy. The position is critical to ensuring a reliable, cost-effective, and sustainable energy supply across both regulated and organized markets.

Energy Manager (Leases and Partnerships) Responsibilities:
1. Build and strengthen relationships with independent power providers, data center developers/lease providers, utilities, and other key stakeholders
2. Collaborate with legal teams to structure commercial agreements for strategic partnerships and support energy diligence and contracting for leasing arrangements that ensure reliable, cost-effective service
3. Work with the Site Selection team to evaluate powered land opportunities and identify new United States locations that are best positioned for near-term capacity and long-term growth
4. Coordinate with internal teams including engineering/design, site development, sustainability, network, policy, communications, construction, legal, and finance
5. Support the ongoing development and execution of Meta’s data center energy supply strategy
6. Lead and contribute to a variety of energy projects as business needs evolve
7. Travel domestically up to 25%
Minimum Qualifications:

8. Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, environmental science, energy, or a related field
9. Proven track record of representing business interests to executive leadership at suppliers, utilities, government agencies, and regulatory bodies
10. 10+ years of experience addressing commercial energy challenges and forging long-term partnerships for large customer loads
11. Experience conducting due diligence and managing multiple large-scale projects
12. Working knowledge of transmission, distribution, and utility interconnection processes
13. Proven expertise in managing multiple projects and collaborating with internal teams, utility providers, consultants, and external partners
14. Proven communication skills with experience conveying commercial, regulatory, market, and contractual information to all levels of an organization
15. Proficiency with standard document and analytics tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs, etc.)
Public Compensation:
$188,000/year to $256,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
