    Role Summary & Impact

     

    PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading aerospace organization to hire an **Application Security Lifecycle Specialist** who will play a key role in strengthening product and service security governance. In this high-impact position, you’ll design and build a modern web application that automates a critical “Fit for Use” risk-evaluation process—streamlining reviews, approvals, and compliance artifacts that support secure, mission-critical aerospace operations.

    What You’ll Do (Day-to-Day Responsibilities)

    + Design and build a modern, responsive web application using **React** and current best practices (functional components, hooks, state management, component testing)

    + Integrate with backend services and APIs to aggregate authoritative data and documents

    + Identify and manage information types, hosting locations, and user visibility within the application

    + Implement role-based workflows that coordinate multi-domain reviewers and approvals

    + Develop review and approval workflows, including notifications, comments, approvals/rejections, and full audit trails

    + Orchestrate and generate final **Authority to Operate (ATO)** artifacts and related reports

    + Build intuitive UI components for user workflows, document views, and approval screens

    + Ensure application quality through unit and integration testing, code reviews, and CI/CD compatibility

    + Deliver clear deployment instructions and basic operational documentation

    + Maintain regular and predictable attendance in a collaborative, hybrid work environment

    Required Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience

    + Strong, recent experience building production-grade **React** applications

    + Proven experience with role-based user interfaces, workflows, and approval processes

    + Strong JavaScript and/or TypeScript skills

    + Experience integrating **RESTful APIs** and working with JSON

    + Familiarity with Oracle databases and SQL

    + Experience implementing secure authentication and authorization (e.g., SSO, SAML)

    + Experience with testing frameworks and CI/CD tools

    + **This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.**

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Strong relational database experience with advanced SQL skills

    + Extensive TypeScript experience in strongly typed React or Node.js applications

    + Performance optimization experience (SSR, code splitting, lazy loading, memoization)

    + Understanding of accessibility best practices (ARIA roles, keyboard navigation)

    + Experience building applications in regulated or security-focused environments

    **Pay Details:** $62.10 per hour
