Description
Are you passionate about transforming how Amazon's leaders make strategic talent decisions? Amazon's Senior Leader Experience team is seeking an exceptional Principal Product Manager - Technical to revolutionize workforce planning across our global organization.
You'll build Amazon's enterprise-wide workforce planning solution—a unified platform that transforms how leaders align talent investments with business needs. This isn't about maintaining legacy systems; you're building new capabilities from the ground up, leveraging AI and machine learning to help senior leaders make data-driven workforce decisions. You'll work in a high-visibility, high-ambiguity environment with direct interaction with senior leaders, rapidly prototyping in the AI space without operational dependencies on existing infrastructure.
Key job responsibilities
- Design and build integrated planning systems that handle complex workforce scenarios with embedded AI-driven recommendations
- Create intuitive interfaces that make sophisticated planning accessible to business leaders
- Partner with Finance, and business teams to enable real-time workforce modeling and decision-making
- Launch new features and customer experiences while tracking key performance metrics
- Drive project execution from concept to completion, delivering regular status updates to stakeholders
- Lead cross-functional initiatives, influencing senior stakeholders through exceptional written narratives
- Make critical technical trade-offs on complex, enterprise-scale systems architecture
- Navigate financial modeling and budget alignment with Finance partners
- Maintain product quality standards while operating in highly ambiguous environments
About the team
The Senior Leader Experience team helps leaders connect business strategy to executive talent strategy, ensuring the right leaders are in the right roles at the right time.
You will work closely with Finance and business to enable modeling, planning, and evaluation of workforce decisions using embedded intelligence.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience technical product management
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements
- Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $161,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
