You will conduct routine patrols, interact with the public, and provide outstanding customer service while supporting a secure environment. What You'll Do:

+ Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal, providing customer service to all individuals at the utility location.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, taking appropriate action as required.

+ Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the utility facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.

+ Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or breaches of protocols.

+ Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to established procedures.

+ Assist with emergency response activities and coordinate with local authorities and/or emergency personnel when necessary.

+ Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter criminal activity and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

+ At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.

+ Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.

+ A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

+ Handcuff, pepper spray, and baton experience is preferred.

+ An armed guard card or license is preferred.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
