Description We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Torrance, California. In this role, you will oversee a variety of accounts receivable functions, ensuring financial transactions are accurately processed and documented. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic healthcare environment while supporting essential financial operations. This is a long-term contract role.

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts receivable transactions, including payments, credit card receipts, and check deposits, in alignment with company policies.

• Reconcile accounts receivable records to ensure accurate application of payments and proper ledger maintenance.

• Manage billing activities, including issuing invoices and statements, and follow up on overdue accounts to ensure timely collections.

• Handle daily cash receipts and lockbox deposits efficiently and accurately.

• Review and ensure compliance with sales tax regulations across multiple states.

• Address and resolve discrepancies related to payments, billing issues, and customer inquiries promptly.

• Generate and analyze accounts receivable aging reports to monitor outstanding balances and collections.

• Prepare and distribute credit memos to customers as required.

• Support month-end closing activities related to accounts receivable, ensuring accurate reporting.

• Process intercompany accounts receivable transactions and prepare relevant financial reports. Requirements • Proficiency in accounts receivable systems, including Great Plains Accounting.

• Strong experience with commercial collections and cash applications.

• Familiarity with billing functions and aged receivables processes.

• Ability to handle daily cash receipts and credit card transactions efficiently.

• Knowledge of sales tax compliance across various states.

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping.

• Effective communication and problem-solving skills for resolving customer inquiries.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
