Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Richfield, Minnesota. In this contract position, you will play a key role in managing vendor invoices, expense reports, and financial records with accuracy and efficiency. This opportunity is ideal for professionals who thrive in fast-paced environments and possess strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

• Review and verify vendor invoices and employee expense reports to ensure accuracy.

• Match invoices with purchase orders and receipts, resolving any discrepancies.

• Enter and maintain accounts payable data within the accounting system.

• Prepare and process payments, including checks, electronic transfers, and wire transactions.

• Respond promptly to vendor inquiries and address account discrepancies.

• Assist in month-end closing tasks, including account reconciliations.

• Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all transactions.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures during invoice processing.

• Collaborate with team members to improve accounts payable processes. Requirements • Proficiency in accounts payable processes, including invoice coding and payment preparation.

• Experience with accounting software, particularly Great Plains Dynamics.

• Strong skills in Excel, including working with formulas.

• Excellent numeric data entry abilities with attention to detail.

• Familiarity with handling approved invoices and ensuring proper documentation.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment.

• Strong communication skills for resolving vendor discrepancies.

• Previous experience in a similar role within a non-profit organization is a plus.
