    Starting Salary: $85,000 - $100,000 + annual bonus

     

    Robert Half is partnering with one of their clients on their recruitment efforts for a Senior Cost Accountant. This is an award-winning, well-respected construction firm that has been in business for over 20 years. This is a unique opportunity to support high-profile projects, contribute to ongoing success, and -partner with senior leadership.     Key Responsibilities:

    + Oversee and maintain accurate job costing practices for all ongoing construction projects.

    + Prepare, analyze, and report on work-in-process (WIP) accounts.

    + Assess project budgets, investigate variances, and support project teams with timely cost data.

    + Collaborate with project managers to track and improve project profitability.

    + Perform regular reconciliations, audits, and process reviews to ensure compliance with industry standards.

    + Assist with month-end closing activities related to project accounting.

    + Assist in cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning

    + Ensure compliance with GAAP and relevant tax regulations

    + Coordinate and support audits, both internal and external

    Requirements

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

    + 5+ years of professional accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.

    + Strong understanding of job costing, work in process (WIP), and construction accounting principles.

    + Superior analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

    + Proficiency in construction accounting and ERP software is an advantage.
