Description

We’re seeking an IT Business Analyst to serve as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams. In this role, you’ll work closely with users, product owners, and engineers to understand business needs, translate them into clear technical requirements, and help deliver technology solutions that drive efficiency and value.

Key Responsibilities

+ Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document functional and technical requirements

+ Translate business needs into clear user stories, workflows, and specifications for development teams

+ Facilitate stakeholder interviews, workshops, and requirements-gathering sessions

+ Support the full SDLC, including design, development, testing, and implementation

+ Assist with UAT planning, test case creation, and validation of delivered solutions

+ Analyze current processes and recommend system or workflow improvements

+ Collaborate with developers, QA, and product teams to ensure requirements are understood and delivered accurately

+ Create and maintain documentation such as process flows, data mappings, and business rules

+ Act as a liaison between technical teams and non-technical users, ensuring clear communication throughout projects

Requirements

Required Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

+ 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, IT Business Analyst, or Systems Analyst

+ Experience gathering and documenting requirements for software or IT systems

+ Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile or Waterfall methodologies

+ Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

+ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

+ Experience working with enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, HRIS, or financial systems)

+ Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar

+ Experience with data analysis, SQL, or reporting tools is a plus

+ Experience in regulated or enterprise environments (healthcare, finance, education, government)

+ Agile/Scrum or CBAP certification a plus
