Description We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team in Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin. In this role, you will oversee the accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly payroll for a large workforce, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and company policies. This is a long-term contract position, offering the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic work environment and develop expertise in payroll operations.

Responsibilities:

• Process daily electronic batches and manually enter timecards as required.

• Manage and calculate bi-weekly payroll, ensuring accuracy and completion.

• Calculate employee travel pay and address related queries.

• Prepare and deliver comprehensive payroll reports as requested.

• Reconcile payroll liabilities and receivable accounts through detailed reporting.

• Oversee contract employee hours and invoice processing.

• Facilitate year-end procedures, including W2 preparation and system updates.

• Assist in bank and check reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.

• Collaborate with team members to enhance personal and shared knowledge of payroll systems and practices. Requirements • Associate’s Degree in Accounting preferred but not mandatory.

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in payroll processing.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.

• Familiarity with Ceridian software and Workwise systems is advantageous.

• Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to perform basic calculations accurately.

• Capability to develop, document, and adhere to procedures effectively.

• Excellent communication skills for presenting information and addressing questions from managers and external auditors.

• Experience with multi-state payroll and processing for over 500 employees is highly desirable.
