Job Title: PCB Layout Designer
Job Description
We are seeking a PCB Layout Designer to support a satellite constellation program. As a Sr. PCB Design Engineer, you will be involved in the definition and implementation of multiple spacecraft subsystems. You will contribute in all phases of system design and production, utilizing your expertise in PCB design, assembly, testing, and fabrication.
Responsibilities
+ Participate in the definition and implementation of spacecraft subsystems.
+ Contribute to all phases of system design and production.
+ Utilize knowledge in PCB design, assembly, test, and fabrication.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
+ Manage multiple projects in parallel and coordinate with 3rd party layout services.
+ Conduct testing and debugging of boards using standard electronics lab equipment.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in PCB layout design using industry-standard suites such as Cadence Allegro.
+ 7+ years of experience in PCB layout design.
+ Recent experience with high-speed circuits and high current density designs.
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
+ Experience managing multiple projects and 3rd party layout services.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 10+ years of experience in PCB layout design using industry-standard suites.
+ Experience in developing and designing PCBs for space environments.
+ Knowledge of PCB failure modes and reliability in extreme environments.
+ Experience as a technical lead for small teams of PCB design engineers.
+ Experience developing IPC class 2 and 3 boards.
+ Ability to collaborate with cross-functional technical teams.
+ Ability to participate in schematic and design reviews.
+ Familiarity with tools like Hyperlinx for high-speed electronic design and EDM for metal removal.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Redmond, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $80.00/hr.
