Job Title: Picker/packer

Job Description

As a Production Utility specialist, you will be responsible for working off customer orders and preparing/packaging parts according to customer specifications. This role involves preparing SAP shipments, taking parts from assembly, and organizing them properly in warehouse aisles. You must be comfortable lifting 20-50 lbs throughout the day and standing on your feet for 10-12 hours. Forklift training may be provided.

Responsibilities

+ Assist with general shipping duties including the removal of tape, preparation of units, and weighing/packing various products.

+ Prepare SAP shipments and assist in the paint/prep area.

+ Assist in the unloading of incoming parts and product placement within Inventory.

+ Assist in pulling parts from inventory for the gearbox and/or motor assembly.

+ Perform other various shop-floater duties related to production expansion or production demands.

Essential Skills

+ 1 year of industrial experience (warehouse, manufacturing, assembly, shipping, operator, etc.)

+ Strong computer skills, including the ability to navigate the internet and use a smartphone.

+ Experience with picking, RF scanners, and SAP systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Previous experience prepping items for shipment is beneficial.

+ Experience working within a shipping department is advantageous.

Work Environment

Work between receiving, shipping, inventory/racking, and machine operation areas. Be prepared for diverse tasks throughout the plant. Our newly expanded and clean facility includes a brand-new automated paint line system. No smoking on site. Work in a team-oriented culture with various departments. Required attire includes steel-toed shoes and safety glasses, with shorts or pants without holes/tears. The facility is climate-controlled but can get hot in summer. Moderate noise levels.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sun Prairie, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.12 - $22.12/hr.
