    Job Title: Machine Operator - 1st Shift

    **Shift:** 7am -3pm Mon-Fri

    **Pay:** $18/hr ($1 pay increase after 2 months)

    **Location:** Northside Jacksonville, FL (32218)

    **Start Date:** January 5th, 2026

    Job Description

    As a Machine Operator, you will begin in the rack area where you will load large paper rolls onto production machines and ensure they operate correctly. Mechanical inclination is necessary to address and remove paper jams. You will also use an overhead crane to move heavy rolls. Attendance is crucial, with strict policies in place.

    Responsibilities

    + Load large paper rolls onto production machines.

    + Monitor machine operations and ensure proper functioning.

    + Mechanically resolve any paper jams that occur.

    + Utilize overhead cranes to move heavy rolls.

    + Stand for 8 to 10 hours per day.

    + Maintain strict attendance as per company policy.

    Essential Skills

    + 2 years of experience in a production line environment or related fields such as warehouse or construction.

    + Ability to prevent machines from going down.

    + Mechanical inclination and ability to operate production machinery.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in auto mechanics, general production, or similar fields is advantageous.

    + Proficiency with hand tools and a tape measure.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a non-climate controlled yet well-ventilated environment. The dress code allows for shorts and t-shirts, but nothing baggy. Steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and ear plugs are required. The shift runs from 6:45 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays required. You will receive a two-week notice for Saturday shifts. Arrive 30 minutes early on your first day.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, FL.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
