    This person will oversee and manage supply chain and logistics operations to maximize efficiency and minimize cost of organization's supply chain including purchasing, logistics, inventory management, material forecasting, capacity planning and sourcing and inventory control. Develops strategies, policies, procedures and overall team to ensure there are appropriate resources to support current forecasted business and projected growth and manage working capital. Establishes annual goals and objectives and manages performance to ensure attainment.

     

    + Directs activities for procurement, planning and replenishment of inventory, control of materials from receipt of forecasting replenishment needs to delivery of products to customers.

    + Manages inventory and establishes controls to ensure highest operating levels of performance based on key performance metrics and minimized supply chain risk.

    + Develops strategies, policies, procedures, and overall team to optimize value of entire function in creating world class supply chain management group.

    + Maintains compliance with regulatory requirements and ethical standards related to procurement.

    + Develops and continuously improves supplier programs and supply chain processes.

    + Establishes annual goals and objectives, including stretch targets in coordination with business objectives, and manages performance to ensure attainment

    + Supervises and assign work to staff.

    Experience:

    + 5 years required, 7 years preferred of prior responsibility in purchasing or supply chain management.

    + 5 years required, 7 years preferred of industrial distribution.

    + 7 years required, 10 years preferred of management supervision.

    + 5 years required, 7 years preferred of operations management.

    Education:

    + Bachelors’ Degree business or related required. MBA preferred.

    Skills:

    + Knowledge of industry, including suppliers, customers and competitors preferred.

    + Ability to initiate and develop relationships with key decision makers inside and outside the company to achieve objectives.

    + Strong negotiation and analytical skills.

    + Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    + Strong computer skills.

    + Ability to oversee people and processes to achieve objectives.

    + Strong interpersonal skills including coaching and conflict management.

    + Supply chain management, strategic sourcing, vendor management, inventory and warehouse methods and procedures.

    + Able to travel with limited advance notice.

    + Familiarity with WESNET, RPS, WPS, CITRIX applications, WESCO branch, region and DC operations preferred.
