**KOMAN Construction LLC,** is looking for an experience Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our growing team in Del Rio, TX. KC is a federal government contractor that supports CBP with road construction and vegetation control in Texas.

Responsibilities:
+ Responsible for the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment, machines, and vehicles including skid steers, scrappers, motor graders, excavators, wood chippers, haul trucks, water trucks, etc.
+ Typical repairs and maintenance would include work on engines, transmissions, chassis, drivelines and body components, hydraulic, brake, electrical and suspension systems, wheels, tires and undercarriages
+ Maintains complete and detailed working records for time, parts, supplies, and outside purchases for repairs.
+ Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance activities.
+ Performs diagnostic inspections as needed.
+ Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment.
+ Ability to perform fabrication and welding processes.
+ Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts.
+ Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
+ Works in a construction environment and will be exposed to changing outdoor weather conditions.
Qualifications:
+ 5 years of heavy equipment/ diesel mechanic experience is required.
+ Experience working in a construction setting is highly preferred.
+ Strong mechanical understanding of diesel engines, electrical, and hydraulic systems
+ Welding and fabrication experience is preferred.
