    Jennifer Fukumae with Robert Half Finance and Accounting is partnering with a specialized private investment firm focused on unconventional, misunderstood, and idiosyncratic asset classes.

     

    About the Firm

     

    This firm invests in high-yield, risk-adjusted opportunities that fall outside traditional asset classes—such as litigation finance, specialty agriculture, water rights, media finance, and select real asset categories.

     

    + Lean team with strong year-over-year growth

    + ~$1.5B AUM and preparing for additional fund raises

    + Manages both fund vehicles and underlying portfolios

    + Partners closely with HC Global and SEI for fund administration

    Requirements

    As a Fund Manager, you will take on elevated ownership across fund operations, reporting, and team oversight:

    + Oversee all Fund and GP general ledger activities

    + Manage quarterly and annual reporting cycles, ensuring accurate financial statements

    + Partner with finance leadership on audit, tax, and compliance deliverables

    + Maintain oversight of capital call/distribution processes

    + Review and enhance reporting packages prepared by the accounting team

    + Advise on complex, non-routine fund or transaction issues

    + Lead, mentor, and develop junior staff

    + Collaborate closely with Investor Relations on LP communications

    + Serve as a key point of contact between internal leadership and external providers

     

    Ideal Background

     

    + 4–7+ years of Private Equity Fund Accounting or Public Accounting (PE audit)

    + Strong understanding of fund structures, allocations, and private equity transactions

    + Demonstrated leadership or mentorship experience

    + Strong technical accounting, analytical, and communication skills

    + Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-moving environment

    San Francisco (Presidio) – Hybrid, 1–2 days in office

     

    $120–150k Base + Bonus (DOE)
