Overview
The **Business Planner** for the Sovereign Cloud will focus exclusively on tactical tasks supporting Microsoft’s Sovereign offerings. This planner is responsible for executing operational processes and providing hands-on assistance in day-to-day activities, with limited strategic planning. As needed, the planner will partner cross-functionally to execute on in-flight initiatives that shape how customers engage with Microsoft’s Sovereign Cloud portfolio.

Responsibilities
+ Assist with the implementation of pricing and packaging strategies for sovereign regions and products.
+ Manage end-to-end launch planning for new regions and offerings through detailed process execution.
+ Coordinate with engineering and finance teams to ensure requirements are met, following established procedures.
+ Maintain operational readiness for transactability and commerce accuracy through routine checks and updates.
+ Execute tasks related to the deployment of billing meters and set up post-launch processes for new region launches.
+ Support ad-hoc projects focused on sovereign cloud growth and compliance, strictly within tactical guidelines.

Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications
+ 3+ years product management, strategy consulting, finance, business/corporate development, or related experience OR equivalent experience.
Additional or preferred qualifications
+ 5+ years product management, strategy consulting, finance, business/corporate development, or related experience AND Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Computer Science, Economics, Business, or related field OR 3+ years product management, strategy consulting, finance, business/corporate development, or related experience AND Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA), or related field OR equivalent experience.
Business Planning IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $85,100 - $169,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $112,000 - $185,300 per year.
