About the role

As a Technical Estimator for our Rapid Prototyping team, you’ll own the costing and quotation process for custom machining and prototype projects, partnering closely with Sales, CNC Programming, Engineering, and Production to deliver accurate, timely quotes that keep our customers moving.

What you’ll do

+ Develop accurate cost estimates and customer quotations for production and rapid prototyping projects.

+ Analyze drawings, specs, and requirements to determine materials, machining time, tooling, and outside services.

+ Utilize the ERP system to build estimates, generate quotes, and maintain data integrity.

+ Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, CNC Programmers, and Engineering to validate manufacturability, lead times, and pricing assumptions.

+ Track quote status, follow up on open opportunities, and support smooth hand-off to production upon award.

+ Perform additional tasks as needed to support team goals in a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.

What you’ll bring

+ High school diploma or equivalent (required).

+ Training/experience with ERP systems used for estimating/quoting.

+ **5+ years** as an estimator (manufacturing or machining environment preferred).

+ **5+ years** CNC machining experience (preferred) with strong understanding of machining processes, time studies, and shop practices.

+ Proficiency with CAD for reading models/drawings; solid general computer skills.

+ Strong collaboration and communication skills with attention to detail and deadlines.

The salary range for this position is starting at $73,074. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
