    + Position Description:

     

    The NYS Department of Health is seeking one temporary Computer Support Specialist located in DOH’s Center for Health Care Provider Services and Oversight at 875 Central Avenue, Albany, NY. Computer Support Specialist candidates will assist with activities related to Federal and State complaint and surveillance activities in Article 28 facilities throughout the state, including but not limited to hospitals, diagnostic & treatment centers, ambulatory surgical centers and dialysis facilities.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent,

    • One year of office experience,

    • Well organized, detail oriented,

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to walk-through complicated technical ideas or tasks with individuals without an IT background,

    • Ability to work alone and as part of a team.

    • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree

    • Experience working in a fast-paced setting with the ability to multi-task and work in complex databases.
