Job Description Summary
The Janitorial Lead Cleaner is responsible for supervising and performing janitorial duties within designated area(s). This role includes assigning daily tasks to employees, maintaining communication between staff and management, and ensuring all janitorial responsibilities are completed as directed by the immediate Supervisor.
Job Description
Major Duties and Responsibilities
+ Check in with the immediate Manager for special instructions, precautions, or updates related to assigned areas and tenants.
+ Perform cleaning duties in office and healthcare environments while following all client security and access procedures.
+ Retrieve the appropriate service cart and keys from the staging area and proceed to assigned floors.
+ Sweep and mop floors.
+ Clean spills as needed.
+ Empty trash and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
+ Dust flat surfaces within reach unless otherwise instructed.
+ Clean and sanitize restrooms.
+ Clean glass surfaces.
+ Assist with floor care projects, including machine scrubbing and carpet shampooing.
+ Operate ride-on floor machines when proper training has been provided.
Requirements
+ Report to work no later than 15 minutes before the scheduled start time and follow UKG timekeeping policies.
+ Prior custodial experience preferred.
+ Ability to work independently, follow direction, and collaborate effectively as part of a team.
+ Strong attention to detail, customer service focus, organizational skills, and physical stamina.
+ Ability to follow direct instructions from the Supervisor.
+ Ability to read and understand English.
+ Report unsafe conditions to the Supervisor promptly.
+ Must call in at least 4 hours before the shift in the event of an absence.
+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
+ Follow all C&W Services policies, code of conduct, and safety guidelines.
+ Commit to the Safety Pledge and report any unsafe or maintenance-related issues to the shift Supervisor.

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
The compensation for the position is: $19.55 - $23.00
