**Chevron’s Business Support Center (BASSC), located in Buenos Aires, is accepting applications for the position of Technical Lead Data Governance.** Successful candidates will join the IT Organization, which is part of a multifunction service center with a workforce of more than 1800 employees that deliver business services and solutions to the corporation across the globe.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
+ Lead the design, development, and deployment of data governance tools and platforms.
+ Partner with architects to build scalable solutions for metadata management, data cataloging, and data quality improvement.
+ Evaluate, implement, and integrate industry-leading tools such as Collibra, Microsoft Purview, Neo4j, Profisee, Erwin, and Databricks Unity Catalog.
+ Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand governance needs and translate them into technical solutions.
+ Establish and enforce best practices for data governance tool usage, integration, and lifecycle management.
+ Supervise, mentor and guide a team of engineers and analysts in delivering high-impact solutions.
+ Ensure alignment with enterprise data governance strategy, processes, and compliance requirements.
+ Monitor tool performance, adoption, and effectiveness; continuously optimize for scalability and usability.
Experience:
+ Experience in data management, data governance, or related domains.
+ Experience leading technical teams in building and deploying data governance solutions.
+ Proven track record of delivering enterprise-grade solutions in areas such as, Data cataloging and inventory, MDM, Data lineage and Data quality monitoring and remediation
+ Experience working with industry-standard data governance tools and integrations with other services and custom apps.
+ Experience with cloud-native data ecosystems and modern data platforms.
+ Strong background in team development, .Net, API integration, and Azure and familiarity using Ansible for deployments and BI tools such as Power BI
+ Use of ADO to manage a cross regional team
Required Qualifications:
+ Overall 10 years of industry experience and minimum 5 years' in leading and managing teams.
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
+ Technical knowledge of Data Factory Solutions (e.g. Azure Data Factory, Databricks), MDM technologies (e.g. Profisee), Data Quality technologies (e.g. Collibra).
+ Proven experience in data management, analytics, and leadership roles.
+ Proven experience and expertise in global technical deployments and management of change.
+ Managing a remote team and working across different time zones.
+ Strong knowledge of data governance, architecture, data modeling, and database management systems.
+ Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
+ Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Experience in energy or supply chain sector
