    Responsibilities

    2nd Shift - 2:30 pm - 10:30 pm Monday through Friday

     

    Starting pay $22.19/hr. + $1.00 shift differential

     

    Pay Grade HR130

    MSA Safety in Cranberry Township, PA is now hiring for Assembler Sensor Manufacturing associates for our manufacturing plant.

    Responsibilities:

    + Assembly and test (including set-up), of complex combustible, electro-chemical or infrared sensors and/or sub-assemblies requiring wiring and soldering. Some troubleshooting required.

    + Picking material out of the warehouse.

    + Performing visual inspections and minor repairs and rework.

    + Completing and maintaining relevant paperwork and input information in computer system.

    Qualifications

    Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements:

    + Ability to:

    + read and understand drawings, work instructions and test procedures.

    + understand standard units of measure and to set-up and interpret results of various measuring devices.

    + perform standard software operations including SAP.

    + regularly perform work that requires magnification.

    + concentrate for prolonged periods of time.

    + infrequently lift, carry, push and pull up to 40 pounds without assistance.

    + infrequently stand in a stationary position.

    + use power and hand tools, and custom tooling.

    + work in a team environment and effectively communicate with various levels within the organization including training of new associates and temporary agency assignments.

    + organize and prioritize work and operate at a level that meets or exceeds quality and productivity standards for the work area.

    + wear ANSI Z87 approved safety glasses, steel toe shoes, lab coat, sleeves, gloves, and other PPE as required per Job Safety Analysis.

    + Strong manual dexterity requiring fine finger manipulation and hand steadiness.

    + Willingness to work on various product groups and work flexible shifts.

    Education and Experience Required:

    + High School Diploma or equivalent.

    + Minimum 3 months manufacturing and/or other related experience (if lacking minimum months of experience, we will train you through our temporary agency before full time employment).

    Experience Preferred:

    + Past soldering experience (training provided if no experience established).
