As a Co-Responder, you’ll work side by side with first responders and law enforcement, providing critical support to individuals experiencing a mental health crisis. Responsibilities

+ Responds in person to 911 behavioral health calls alongside law enforcement to conduct an assessment to recommend appropriate level of care and determine the need for resource referrals.

+ Complete and provide resources on behalf of individuals experiencing a crisis.

+ Completes in person or phone outreach to support individual's post-crisis by connecting them to needed services; this could also be after other 911 calls, like domestic violence, fatalities, or traumatic experiences.

+ Assist in program related activities to include data collection, reports, meetings, and relevant training.

+ Collaborates with care coordinators and other community agencies to advocate and partner for individual needs.

+ Provides community policing by locating transient clients, connecting with community stakeholders and members, and providing resources to community members.

Qualifications

Education:

+ Requires a BA, BS, BSW, or Masters degree in a behavioral healthcare services related field.

License(s)/Certification(s):

+ Valid driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
