    The RN Lung Nodule Coordinator is responsible for the coordination, tracking, and facilitation of care for patients identified with lung nodules through Low-Dose CT (LDCT) lung cancer screening, incidental findings, and diagnostic imaging. Travel to multiple Ascension Saint Thomas sites in the Middle Tennessee area is required.

    Responsibilities

    Serve as a patient navigator throughout the continuum of care.

     

    + Function as a liaison for management staff, administration, physicians, managed care companies, community organizations, and other customers.

    + Coordinate efforts for treatment and promote quality improvement and educational efforts.

    + Compile data, track outcomes, and make recommendations for process improvement.

    + Provide referrals/support for follow-up care for patients who are uninsured or underinsured.

    Requirements

    Licensure / Certification / Registration:

    + Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing OR current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

    + BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

    Education:

    + Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time ofhire.

    Additional Preferences

    + Bachelor's degree or equivalent healthcare experience strongly preferred

    + Experience in care coordination, oncology, pulmonary services, radiology, or population health strongly preferred

    + Strong organizational, communication, and data management skills

    + Experience working with EMR systems, registries, and digital navigation tools

    + Ability to manage large patient cohorts and time-based workflows

    + Experience with LDCT lung cancer screening programs

    + Familiarity with lung nodule management guidelines (NCCN, Fleischner)

    + Experience supporting multidisciplinary care teams or tumor boards, as needed

    + Strong oncology knowledge
