Job overview and responsibilities – Intern
The HRBP Team is involved in employee relations and engagement, labor relations, change management, communication processes, organizational design, and performance management. This team is located at all of United’s hub locations and Corporate Support Centers and work side by side with business leaders, supporting all areas of United’s operations. The internship is designed to prepare you for a full-time career at United.
• Participate in project planning meetings for ongoing continuous improvement and United initiatives
• Support of United business units and related activities
• Job shadowing and ad hoc support on projects within assigned department
• Collect, analyze, and provide recommendations on any talent, organizational health, and workforce planning data
• Support the development and implementation of change management and training plans for various company initiatives
• Recommend changes and improvements to existing communication processes
• Actively participate and support employee engagement activities
• Successful candidates could be placed in a variety of locations, including Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, Denver, San Francisco, or New Jersey
Qualifications
Required
• Good communication skills, Strong interpersonal skills with focus on teamwork
• Microsoft Office applications, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams Outlook
• Experience in data analytics through internships, coursework, or campus experiences.
Preferred
• Previous internship experience
Other
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
• Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
