Under the direct supervision of a board certified surgeon. Position requires national surgical technician certification within 3 months after completion of program of graduation completion from accredited school of nursing and obtaining Practical Nursing licensure in state of Vermont. Prior operating room experience (surgical scrub and/or nursing) experience preferred.

Requirements:

* Successful graduation from a national certified surgical technician program required or successful graduation from accredited practical nursing program required, but may work in the OR assisting medical team while actively enrolled in a surgical technician program only.

* Prior nursing assistant or OR Tech experience preferred

* CST certification required within 90 days of hire or Vermont State Licensed Practical Nursing Diploma required.

* BLS required within 90 days
