    Job Summary and Qualifications

     

    Under the general direction of the Director of Plant Operations, the Chief Engineer and the Plant Operations Supervisor, the Mechanic III is responsible for a variety of skilled and semi-skilled maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, and heating/air conditioning tasks to include installing and repairing equipment, and maintaining buildings and grounds as assigned. The Mechanic III is expected to be self-motivated with a high attention to detail and task ownership, ensuring that assigned projects/tasks are completed correctly and in a timely manner with minimal guidance.

    What you will do in this role:

    + Utilizes power and hand tools safely and proficiently in the performance of position responsibilities.

    + Calculates quantity of materials and supplies needed to complete assigned projects

    + Utilizes appropriate principles related to safety and infection control in the provision of services

    + Utilizes appropriate body mechanics in the moving and lifting of supplies and equipment

    + Utilizes appropriate precautions and related to infection control in relation to maintenance of equipment, supplies, the environment, and personal hygiene activities.

    + Communicates effectively verbally and in writing to fulfill position responsibilities.
