Cleveland Clinic specializes in comprehensive surgical services for populations of all ages. As an RN Resident on this team, you will assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care, from initial introduction to final send-off while also participating in a residency core curriculum based on your individual learning needs. Working alongside a coach, you will provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. Additionally, the Cleveland Clinic system provides nurses with many professional development resources, including furthering education and online/in-person courses to enhance your skills.

+ DDSI/HPB LIVER
+ Arterial Vascular/Vascular Surgery
+ OR Nights and Weekends
+ OR Peds Surgery
+ OR Neuro Institute
+ OR Cardiac
+ OR Plastic
+ OR General or OR Colorectal
This is a full-time day-shift position. A caregiver in this role will have their shifts assigned after orientation. Orientation is offered once per month and is 6-months long from Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
+ Provide nursing care in an operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures.
+ Perform scrub and circulating functions.
+ Prepare the OR, surgical instruments and equipment for use.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
+ Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
+ New graduate RN OR less than one year of RN work experience.
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Physical Requirements:
+ Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
+ Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
+ Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
+ Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
+ Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
+ Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
+ Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
Personal Protective Equipment:
+ Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
Pay Range
Minimum hourly: $33.50
Maximum hourly: $53.60
The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.).
