**Job Title:** Construction Laborer

**Location:** Rome, NY

**Pay:** $20-$22/hour

**Shift:** 7:00AM-3:30PM, Monday through Friday, with overtime available.

Job Description

The Construction Laborer will support the commercial construction team. This role involves assisting with various construction tasks, ensuring job sites are prepared, and supporting skilled tradespeople in building high-quality homes, complexes, and commercial facilities.

Responsibilities

+ Assist with site preparation, including clearing debris and setting up materials.

+ Load, unload, and transport construction materials to designated areas.

+ Operate basic hand and power tools safely and efficiently.

+ Support carpenters, masons, and other tradespeople with tasks such as framing, drywall installation, and concrete work.

+ Install and maintain temporary structures, such as scaffolding and safety barriers.

+ Follow safety protocols and ensure a clean, hazard-free work environment.

+ Assist in final site cleanup and preparation for inspections.

Essential Skills

+ 6 months to 1 year of experience in commercial, residential, or roofing as a laborer or carpenter's helper.

+ Reliable transportation.

+ Knowledge of job site safety.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Previous experience in construction or manual labor in landscaping, roofing, industrial manufacturing, or maintenance.

+ Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.

+ Basic knowledge of construction tools and techniques.

+ Willingness to learn and take direction from supervisors.

+ Ability to travel to multiple job sites per day.

+ OSHA 10 certification is preferred.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rome, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
