Job Title: General Production Worker** **Job Description

Join a dynamic fabrication shop that specializes in working with distinguished clients in the area. As a General Production Worker, you will play a crucial role in supervising welders and ensuring the smooth execution of welding projects.

Responsibilities

+ Read blueprints and drawings, taking accurate measurements to plan layouts and procedures.

+ Operate angle grinders to prepare parts for welding.

+ Align components using calipers and rulers, and clamp pieces securely.

+ Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions, including vertical, horizontal, or overhead.

+ Train new welders and provide assistance on the production floor when necessary.

Essential Skills

+ Experience with MIG and TIG welding.

+ Proficiency in blueprint reading.

+ Knowledge of fabrication and maintenance repair.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Possession of an AWS certification is preferred but not mandatory. A pay increase is offered if you possess this certification.

+ A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required.

Work Environment

Work in a very clean manufacturing facility that is temperature-controlled year-round. Enjoy a structured schedule with day shift hours from Monday to Friday, 6 am to 4 pm, and night shift hours from Monday to Thursday, 3:30 pm to 2 am. Contractors are required to wear steel-toed boots.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rock Valley, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $25.00/hr.
