    **Work Type:** Full Time (Total FTE between 0.9 and 1.0)

    **Shift:** Shift 1

    **Work Schedule:** 8 Hr (7:30:00 AM - 4:00:00 PM)

    **Pay Range:** $57.36 - $85.47 per hour

    Summary:

    **The Director of Supply Chain Operations is responsible for the management of the following areas:** receiving and supply distribution, PeriOp supply management, par stock supply management, and mail room functions. The Director develops and implements methods for improving operational efficiency and controlling inventory to ensure adequate operating supply levels and timely distribution. The Director acts as the System Supply Chain Operations liaison ensuring all operational practices aligh with system-wide standards and compliance requirements. The Director develops, implements, and monitors quality assurance programs and implements change supported by results. The Director interviews, hires, schedules, and assigns work to and evaluates work performance of employees directly supervised. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

    Other information:

    • Bachelor's Degree.

    • Five years’ of progressively increasing management experience within areas of supply chain management and hospital operations.

    • Demonstrated knowledge of supply chain management principals and concepts pertaining to receiving and advanced distribution and replenishment.

    • Demonstrated ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

    • Self-motivated with the ability to handle multi-tasks simultaneously.

    • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

    • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities, prioritize daily activities, meet strict deadlines, problem solve, make independent decisions, and work well with all levels of the team.·

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

    Preferred Job Qualifications:

    • Master's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Hospital Administration, or related field.

    • Five years’ of progressively increasing management experience within areas of supply chain management and hospital operations in a healthcare environment.

    • Experience in union and non-union environments.

    • Experience with an ERP system.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Manages the day-to-day operations of the department.

    2. Develops departmental goals and objectives.

    3. Responsible for overseeing the following areas: receiving and supply distribution,

    4. PeriOp supply management, par stock supply management, and mail room functions.

    5. Problem-solves supply and distribution logistical issues in collaboration with teams throughout the organization by evaluating supply and distribution methods and recommending cost effective solutions based on needs and capabilities.

    6. Promotes best practices and operational excellence within supply chain management and across the organization and benchmarks performance. Collaborates with all supply chain leaders to provide a congruent, best practice supply chain model.

    7. Conducts interviews, makes hiring, disciplinary, and performance management decisions in accordance with Human Resource policies and procedures.

    8. Allocates time for education related meetings and plans and conducts in-service educational programs for subordinates as needed.

    9. Develops department-specific operating manuals; updates as necessary.

    10. Oversees the ongoing user department system administration for any supporting technology such as the AGV system, MMIS (ERP/Lawson), Par Excellence, etc.

    11. Maintains the operational integrity of information stored in the system. Serves as liaison with hospital IT department to maximize system functionality, implement system upgrades, and ensure that network interfaces are maintained.

    12. Designs and implements new replenishment methods or changes to current replenishment methods to increase productivity, service, and customer satisfaction while maintaining fiscal responsibility.

    13. Facilitates operational logistics activities related to inventory management, including cycle counts, quarterly/year-end physical inventories, expired product management, and on-hand inventory accuracy.

    14. Serves on committees such as Value Analysis to ensure the supply function is integrated into the patient care delivery system.

    15. Develops, documents, and secures appropriate approval for departmental policies relative to supply, distribution; develops and implements procedures to ensure efficient and effective services with all organizational policies and procedures.

    16. Responsible and accountable for departmental budgets and capital equipment. Manages resources within budget guidelines.

    17. Meets with customer base to ensure the highest level of customer service. Develops plans to continually upgrade service level.

    18. Continuously develops skills and knowledge, either through LEAP programs, readings, conferences, departmental training programs, or some combination of these.

    19. Develops and displays a clear customer service focus at all times.

    20. Views work as part of the larger Rush system and strives to improve performance in concert with, rather than in competition with, co-workers and other Rush employees.

    21. Conscious of the resources used in completing work and strives to use these resources as efficiently and effectively as possible.
