Job Title: Engineering Technician
Job Description
The Engineering Technician will be responsible for operating test benches in the R&D engineering lab, executing various tests, and contributing to the development of new technologies and products. This position involves ensuring the mechanical upkeep and calibration of test equipment and providing accurate test data for analysis.
Responsibilities
+ Operate and maintain test benches in the R&D engineering lab.
+ Conduct structural, integrity, end-of-life, and efficiency tests.
+ Oversee mechanical upkeep and calibration of test equipment.
+ Participate in the development of new technology and product modifications.
+ Consult with test requestors and lab managers to determine appropriate testing methods.
+ Set up and conduct performance tests using standardized formats and procedures.
+ Adapt procedures and techniques to meet complex testing requirements with assistance.
+ Prepare and present accurate test data for interpretation and analysis.

+ Assist with equipment calibration and perform basic test bench maintenance.
+ Conduct specialized testing without written procedures in lab and field environments.
+ Fabricate components and assemblies for hydraulic, diesel engine, and alternative power products.
+ Troubleshoot test bench circuits and field equipment systems.
+ Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
+ Effectively communicate technical information.
Essential Skills
+ Mechanical testing and aptitude.
+ Experience with Microsoft Excel and Labview.
+ Troubleshooting and engineering skills.
+ Knowledge of automotive manufacturing and hydraulics.
+ Experience with hydraulic assembly, valves, and maintenance.
+ Proficiency in test equipment and standards.
+ Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
+ 10+ years of relevant experience in a technician or mechanic role.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High School Diploma or GED required.
+ Associate's degree preferred.
+ Advanced knowledge of fluid handling, filtration, or diesel engines.
+ Advanced computer literacy skills (Microsoft Office, Windows-based software).
+ Understanding of data logging equipment and injector characterization stations.
+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
+ Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
+ Self-starter with a creative and inquisitive nature.
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Work Environment
The work schedule is from Monday to Thursday, 2:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., and Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of MINNEAPOLIS, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
