Job Title: Trainer, Command and Control Operations
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Surface and Air Surveillance & Command and Control (C2) Operations Subject Matter Expert to support training, analysis, and operational integration efforts. This role requires deep, hands-on operational knowledge in building and maintaining a recognized air and surface picture using multiple sensors, communications paths, and data links. The ideal candidate brings operational and instructional experience from U.S. military, NATO, or similar service and non-military personnel that has taught or supported training at a recognized service schoolhouse or training center.
Responsibilities
+ Support training, analysis, and operational integration efforts in Surface and Air Surveillance & Command and Control (C2) Operations.
+ Utilize deep, hands-on operational knowledge to build and maintain a recognized air and surface picture using multiple sensors, communications paths, and data links.
+ Leverage operational and instructional experience from U.S. military, NATO, or similar services.
+ Conduct surveillance operations in environments such as harbor, port, inland waterway, and open-sea or blue-water surveillance.
+ Detect, identify, and track air objects, maintaining a Recognized Air Picture (RAP) in command centers or joint operations centers.
+ Integrate surface and air sensors, voice and data communications, tactical data links, and multi-domain inputs into a unified operational picture.
Essential Skills
+ Prior military service in the Air Force, Navy, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, or NATO.
+ Direct experience in surface and/or air surveillance operations.
+ Experience identifying, tracking, and managing air and surface objects.
+ Experience contributing to or maintaining a common operational picture.
+ Demonstrated operational proficiency regardless of rank or title.
+ Familiarity with Automatic Independent Surveillance, marine radar products, and maritime safety.
+ Familiarity with ADS-B, radio direction finding, Electronic Support Measures, and Electronic Intelligence.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Instructor experience at a recognized military schoolhouse or training center.
+ Experience as a Navy Operations Specialist (OS), Coast Guard surveillance operator, Air Force C2 / air surveillance operator, Marine Corps Tactical Operations, or equivalent.
+ Joint or multi-domain operational experience.
+ Experience supporting training development, simulation, or operational analysis.
Work Environment
This role will be fully on-site in a Training/Classroom setting in Elkridge, MD (Howard County, Maryland). The work schedule follows a 9/80 format, providing a dynamic and engaging environment to impart knowledge and expertise.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Elkridge, MD.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
