    Robert Half is seeking a Senior Network & Systems Engineer to serve as the Tier 3 escalation point for a complex, largely legacy-based environment. This position is a 3 month contract opportunity with the potential to extend or convert and is Hybrid position. Apply today!

    Job Details

    Duration: 3 months with potential to extend or convert

     

    Schedule: Monday – Friday, 40 hour work week – (Flexible hours)

    Key Responsibilities

    + Monitor, maintain, and optimize network and systems performance across on-prem and cloud environments.

    + Act as the Tier 3 point of escalation for critical infrastructure and service issues.

    + Lead and execute change management initiatives related to network and systems updates.

    + Manage and respond to security incidents, ensuring timely resolution and root cause analysis.

    + Drive compliance efforts and support continuous improvement across infrastructure and security practices.

    + Oversee physical device management, including asset management and disaster recovery planning.

    + Support and maintain critical business services to ensure high availability and reliability.

    + Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, promoting best practices and technical growth.

    Requirements

    Required Qualifications:

    + Senior-level experience in Network and Systems Engineering.

    + Proven experience supporting and modernizing legacy environments.

    + Strong expertise with Cisco switches, including SD-WAN, across multiple Cisco versions.

    + Hands-on experience with FortiGate firewalls.

    + Solid experience with VMware, including maintenance and support of virtualized systems.

    + Experience supporting both on-premises and Azure cloud environments.

    + Strong knowledge of Exchange (On-Prem).

    + Demonstrated experience mentoring and supporting junior engineers.
