    Position Title:

    Part-time E-Scooter Manager

    Job Description:

    Reporting to a Compliance Division Field Supervisor, incumbent performs duties associated with Compliance Division operations while assigned to either a City parking enforcement or impound lot team. Associated duties include: enforcement of parking codes and ordinances, response to parking-related citizen complaints, issuing citations; receipt and processing of impound vehicles or property, response to customer inquiries, payment receipt and issuing property to owners in accordance with established policies and procedures.

     

    We are looking for a part-time E-Scooter Manager to support our Community and Neighborhoods team.

    About the Position:

    Reporting to the City Transportation Engineer, this position supports the Transportation Division by overseeing day-to-day operations of the dockless e-scooter program. Key responsibilities include advancing program goals through policy development and implementation; managing e-scooter parking stalls; responding to and coordinating resolution of e-scooter-related citizen and key partner complaints; documenting recurring issues and problem areas; managing vendor contracts; and analyzing e-scooter data to inform broader transportation initiatives.

     

    This role is a position of trust and requires a high level of personal and professional integrity. The successful candidate will provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders, including community members and vendors.

     

    This is a part-time, non-benefited position.

    Position Salary Range:

    $22.50/hr. - $35.00/hr.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Serves as an ambassador for Salt Lake City, helping citizens & visitors with questions, concerns, and issues related to dockless e-scooters and general information.

    + Manages the dockless e-scooter parking corrals, including implementation of new corral locations (planning corral locations, installation of scooter parking markings on streets and sidewalks, ordering supplies, etc.)

    + Coordinates with dockless e-scooter vendors to respond to scooter-related complaints.

    + Supports the development and implementation of policies, programs, and initiatives that further the goals of the dockless e-scooter program.

    + Responds to and resolves citizen and key partner complaints in assigned areas, including improperly parked e-scooters.  Reports suspicious activity to the proper agency throughout the city.

    + Participates as part of an overall transportation operations team and contributes positively towards team performance goals.

    + Completes all required documentation and reporting related to operational needs.  Accesses secure databases and inputs data as required for official operational purposes. Maintains the integrity of secure informational databases and limits access on a need-to-know basis only.

    + Other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + Graduation from high school or GED.

    + Must possess a valid state driver’s license or Utah driving privilege card.

    + Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.

    + Ability to work effectively with the public and demonstrate outstanding customer service skills.

    + Ability to constantly meet performance objectives in support of the City’s goals and objectives.

    + Ability to safely operate vehicles.

    + Ability to walk, crouch or bend, and lift moderately heavy objects.

    + Ability to make safety decisions and work in the public right-of-way.

    + Demonstrated ability to read and write legibly and maintain accurate records. The ability to use a computer and computer applications such as MS Office as well as work management systems for the input/retrieval of data and reports.

    + Ability to maintain, uphold and control the integrity of secure informational databases on an operational need-to-know basis only.

    + Proven ability to complete duties while following safety requirements and integrating safety concerns into daily operations

    Desired Qualifications:

    + Previous customer service experience.

    + Experience interpreting data and maps.

    Working Conditions:

    + Considerable exposure to stressful situations (potentially angry customers as well as exposure to disagreeable elements such as construction zones, extreme heat, cold, rain, ice, snow, excessive noise, exhaust fumes).

    + Moderate physical activity. Requires the ability to walk, drive and ride a bicycle for extended periods and the ability to push pull and lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
