    Position: Special Education Teacher

     

    Assignment Dates: January 5, 2026 – May 22, 2026

     

    Schedule: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (School hours)

     

    Format: In-person only

    About the Role

    We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to lead a Life Skills classroom serving approximately 15 students. You will work alongside two paraprofessionals to provide individualized instruction and support for students with diverse needs.

    Responsibilities

    + Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.

    + Create a structured, supportive classroom environment focused on life skills.

    + Collaborate with paraprofessionals and school staff to ensure student success.

    + Monitor and document student progress toward goals.

    + Communicate effectively with families and district personnel.

    Qualifications

    + Valid Texas Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility).

    + Strong understanding of life skills curriculum and differentiated instruction.

    + Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

    + Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive learning atmosphere.
