    Special Education Teacher – Resource (7th/8th Grade)

     

    Schedule: 40 hours/week, In-Person

     

    Start: 01/09/2026

    Position Overview

    We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to provide high-quality instructional services to students in grades 7 and 8, within a resource classroom setting. Under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, the teacher will support students with diverse learning needs through specialized instruction, tutorial assistance, and ongoing collaboration with general education staff.

     

    This role requires a strong commitment to teamwork, individualized planning, and the implementation of effective student programs.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Deliver specialized instruction to students in a 7th/8th grade resource setting

    + Participate in IEP development, planning, and implementation

    + Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusive practices

    + Provide academic interventions and tutorial support

    + Maintain compliance with federal, state, and district regulations

    + Uphold professional standards of practice

    Minimum Requirements

    + Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)

    + Valid state teaching certificate as required by state/district regulations

    + Minimum one year of teaching experience (preferred)

    + State Teacher Certification (preferred):

    + Standard Elementary Teaching

    + Standard Secondary Teaching

    + Standard Special Teaching

    + Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) (preferred)

    + Current CPR certification, if applicable

    + TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray, if applicable

    + Current health certificate per state/contract requirements

    + Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements
