    Hours: 37.5–40 hours per week, In-Person

     

    Grade Levels: K–12

     

    Contract Length: 20 weeks

    Position Overview

    We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacherto provide high-quality instructional services to students with moderate tosevere Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), the Sacramento, CA area. Under thedirection of the Special Education Program Administrator, the teacher willsupport K-12 students, delivering specialized instruction, tutorial assistance,and collaborating closely with general education staff.

     

    This role requires a strong commitment to individualizedprogramming, teamwork, and evidence-based practices that promote student growthand independence.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Provide specialized instruction to students with moderate/severe ASD

    + Participate in IEP development, planning, and implementation

    + Deliver academic, behavioral, and functional skill interventions

    + Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff

    + Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with district, state, and federal requirements

    + Support a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment

    Minimum Requirements

    + Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)

    + Valid state teaching certificate as required by state/district regulations

    + Minimum one year of teaching experience (preferred)

    + Preferred certifications:

    + Standard Elementary Teaching

    + Standard Secondary Teaching

    + Standard Special Teaching

    + Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) (preferred)

    + Current CPR certification (if applicable)

    + TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable)

    + Current health certificate per state/contract requirements

    + Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements
