    High School Special Education Teacher (Mild/Moderate)

     

    School Year: 2025–2026

     

    Start Date: January 13, 2025

     

    Contract Length: 20 weeks

     

    Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours/week (Days)

    Position Overview

    We’re seeking a qualified High School Special Education Teacher for a 20-week contract assignment in the Englewood/Sheridan, CO area for the 2025–2026 school year. This role supports students in a mild/moderate setting and requires strong instructional leadership, collaboration, and experience with the Enrich platform.

    Role Responsibilities

    + Provide high-quality instructional services to students in grades K–12 (primarily high school for this assignment)

    + Participate in IEP planning, implementation, and progress monitoring

    + Deliver specialized instruction and tutorial assistance

    + Collaborate with general education staff to support student success

    + Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal regulations

    Non-Negotiable Requirements

    + Enrich Platform Experience

    + Web-based system used for IEPs, 504s, student data, assessments, and compliance

    + Instructional Leadership Experience

    + Experience leading a department, supporting curriculum, guiding instructional strategies, using data for student achievement, and supporting professional development

    Minimum Requirements

    + Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)

    + Valid state teaching certificate as required by district/state

    + Minimum one year of teaching experience (preferred)

    + Preferred certifications:

    + Standard Elementary Teaching

    + Standard Secondary Teaching

    + Standard Special Teaching

    + LBS1 endorsement preferred

    + SSP License required

    + CPR certification (if applicable)

    + TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable)

    + Current health certificate (if required by state/contract)

    + Completion of Amergis Competency Program (if applicable)

    + Understanding of HIPAA and confidentiality standards

    + Strong communication skills and English proficiency

    + Computer proficiency

     

    Assignment Details

     

    + Caseload: 25–30 students, minimal push/pull

    + MSP/VMS: No

    + COVID Vaccine: Not required
