    Job Description

    BAE Systems is seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Audio Visual (AV) Engineer to support the Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory (MCWL) in Stafford, VA. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in enabling the development and integration of cutting-edge warfighting concepts, tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) that will shape the future of Marine Corps operations. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team of professionals working on innovative projects that will have a direct impact on national defense.

     

    The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, and operating a variety of AV/VTC systems including audio, visual, network, and control components to support live events, presentations, and meetings, ensuring seamless technical execution and optimal performance. The successful candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills, with the ability to troubleshoot issues quickly and provide exceptional support to clients and stakeholders.

    Responsibilities include:

    + Project Oversight: Manage all phases of AV projects, including planning, installation, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of audio-visual systems.

    + Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with teams to integrate AV systems with existing IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation.

    + Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and leadership to junior team members, fostering their technical growth and development.

    + Standardization and Procedures: Develop, implement, and maintain AV system standards and procedures to ensure quality, consistency, and best practices.

    + Vendor Management: Foster relationships with vendors and contractors to ensure timely delivery of AV equipment and services, meeting project requirements.

    + System Maintenance and Upgrades: Conduct regular system audits, perform necessary upgrades or repairs, and optimize AV system performance.

    + Industry Staying Current: Stay informed about the latest trends and advancements in audio-visual technology, recommending innovative solutions to improve AV systems.

    + End-User Support: Provide training and technical support to end-users, maximizing utilization and adoption of AV systems.

     

    This position is located in Stafford, VA. There is no relocation assistance available for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to Stafford, VA or surrounding areas.

    Required Education, Experience, & Skills

    + Bachelor's degree in technical/IT field or high school diploma and a minimum of 5 years in AV installation and managing complex audio-visual systems

    + Knowledge of audio-visual equipment including projectors, microphones, sound speakers, video screens/displays, amplifiers, sound and mixing boards, and related electronic equipment for meetings, conferences, classroom training environments, and presentations

    + Proven ability to troubleshoot complex AV issues and provide effective solutions

    + Previous customer-facing skills

    + Ability to work in team or independently working technical solutions

    + Ability/willingness to achieve CTS certification within 2-3 years of hire

    Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

    + Bachelor s degree in a technical discipline

    + AV/VTC experience with Crestron, Extron, or AMX

    + Manufacturer Certifications from one or more of the following: Crestron, Extron, Biamp, Clearone, Cisco

    + Knowledge of building construction methods and materials

    + Prior Military or DoD experience

     

    Pay Information

     

    Full-Time Salary Range: $95106 - $161680

     

    Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
