Job Description
Mission Support and Test Services, LLC (MSTS) manages and operates the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) for the U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). Responsiblities
NNSS is seeking a Funds Management Accountant (Accountant II) to fund actions between NNSA (U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration) and NNSS (Nevada National Security Site) as relayed through the Approved Funding Program (AFP). This position reports to the Sr. Manager of Financial Integration and Compliance and is critical in ensuring funding received from NNSA is allocated correctly to NNSS projects.
Key Responsibilities
+ Responsible for the distribution of funding to the NNSS programs via the AFP, submit funding changes to the NNSA and upload funding profiles in Oracle Fusion.
+ Coordinate the concurrences for Work Authorizations for funding packages received.
+ Prepares or reviews moderately complex summary reports, forecasting and variance reports.
+ Work with the indirect rates team to ensure burden schedules are current for application to projects.
+ Analyze monthly financial data and report budget performance progress.
+ Assist Funds Management SPP (Strategic Partnership Projects) point of contact with processing SPP funding packages as necessary.
+ Adhere to all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
+ Communicate with co-workers, management, clients and others in a courteous and professional manner.
+ Perform other duties assigned by Management.
Qualifications
Due to the nature of our work, US Citizenship is required for all positions.
+ Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or in related field and at least 2 years’ professional level experience, which has provided practical knowledge of accounting principles and reporting of financial data, preferably in a government contractor environment, or equivalent training and experience.
+ Must possess independent judgment, creativity, initiative, and ability to apply knowledge and experience to resolve problems, compose correspondence and reports, and accomplish goals where established procedures may not be specific.
+ Must be highly organized and able to prioritize and schedule multiple activities.
+ Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills to supply accounting data, secure information on operations and problems, describe additional data which could be made available, and furnish advice based on well-established principles and practices.
+ Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and ability to deal with all types of people in a tactful, professional, and effective manner while screening and maintaining confidentiality.
+ Ability to use accounting software, spreadsheet software, compliance software, database reporting software, query software, and financial analysis software.
+ Ability to analyze information and use logic to address work-related issues and problems.
+ Willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges.
+ Demonstrated proficiency in preparing and reviewing complex financial reports, including forecasting and variance analysis.
+ Strong understanding of indirect rates and burden schedules, with the ability to ensure accurate application to projects.
+ Analytical skills for reviewing monthly financial data and reporting on budget performance.
+ Primary work location will be at the Losee Road facility in North Las Vegas, Nevada ( **candidates must be willing to relocate if not local,** relocation package available).
+ Work schedule for this position will be 4/10’s, Monday – Thursday (subject to change).
+ Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
+ Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Ability to obtain a HSPD-12 Personal Identity Verification credential under the Department of Energy Order 206.2, ‘ _Identity, Credential, and Access Management_ ,’ and Supplemental Directive NNSA SD 206.2, ‘ _Implementation of Personal Identity Verification for Uncleared Contractors_ .’

Annual salary range for this position is: $65,249.60 - $97,884.80.
Starting salary is determined based on the position market value, the individual candidate education and experience and internal equity.
