The Receiving Inspector I checks and inspects in-coming materials, in-process, and finished products, ensuring conformance to company quality standards and customer specifications.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and quality-focused, with experience inspecting parts and materials in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. They’re comfortable performing repetitive inspections, visually checking parts, and using basic precision measuring tools to ensure products meet specifications.
They’re organized and reliable, able to document inspection results accurately, handle shipment paperwork, and support receiving, in-process, and final inspections as needed. This person works well independently, follows standard procedures, and understands how their attention to detail directly impacts product quality.
Shift/Hours: 1st Shift Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Compensation
The anticipated starting hourly rate for this position is $20.93 to $27.95. The exact rate may be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, experience, skills, abilities, and education.
Essential Functions
+ Short-cycle, repetitive inspection of a variety of standard parts following standardized methods and procedures.
+ Visually inspects or checks parts using precision measuring instruments or against standards.
+ May perform receiving, in-process, and final inspection.
+ May make periodic spot checks of limited variety of machined parts for adherence to specifications.
+ Maintains records of inspection results and shipment documentation.
+ Moves materials within the shop using forklift and other methods.

Required
+ High School Diploma or equivalent GED
+ 3 months of related experience
+ Strong attention to detail
Preferred
+ 1 year of related experience
+ ASQ Certified Quality Inspector
+ Forklift Certified

+ Stoop by bending body downward and forward requiring full use of the lower extremities and back muscles
+ Perceive attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature, or texture by touch
+ Identify and distinguish colors
