    Description

    SAIC is seeking a **Program Deputy** to support the Chief Architect's office on SAIC’s Prime Program, Landmark AOS in Chantilly, VA. Landmark AOS is a large SETA program, supporting the NRO’s Ground Enterprise Directorate (GED), responsible for the acquisition of systems over the complete end-to-end life cycle. The role requires an active TS/SCI with Polygraph.

     

    As the Program Deputy you will assist the Program Director in spearheading a multifaceted team guiding system engineering and architecting best practices across five system program offices. You will also utilize strong organizational acumen by adeptly managing multiple concurrent projects and tasks, tracking progress against deadlines, and maintaining accurate documentation.

    Key Responsibilities to include:

    + Function as a strategic partner to government Leadership, overseeing daily operations of personnel within specific customer offices, encompassing administrative duties, organization-wide communications, and the cultivation of globally-oriented progress.

    + Leverage industry best practices supporting Agile integration (SAFe experience preferred but not required), driving a team delivering Digital Engineering Utilization and Model Based System Engineering support, GRID, and developing End-to-end Mission Thread tracking and progression for a portfolio of up to 20 threads and three major system acquisitions.

    + Cultivate and sustain dynamic working relationships across departments to align with and fulfill the organization's overarching objectives.

    + Oversee a small, capable team, enabling progress through roadblocks within the office and directorate, and developing governance practices to guide the entire directorate.

    + Champion the recruitment, training, and management of department staff to ensure optimal performance and skill alignment.

    + Employ exceptional problem-solving skills to analyze complex data and develop innovative solutions for improving departmental and organizational performance.

    + Support and engage in Agile development practices for the quality and timely delivery of program components, ensuring continuous improvements in acquisition and management capabilities.

    + Oversee program financials, resource management, and contract performance metrics.

    + Act as a liaison between SAIC, the customer, and other stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment with program objectives.

    + Manage risks and develop mitigation plans to address potential challenges.

    + Mentor and guide team members to maintain a high-performing program team.

    Qualifications

    Required Education and Experience:

    + Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience. Relevant experience to be substituted in lieu of degree.

    + **Active Top Secret/SCI with Poly.**

    + **8 years of experience in Program Management support.**

    + **4 years supporting government contracts in the defense or intelligence community.**

    + **Proven experience with Agile development methodologies.**

    + **Experience supporting the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO).**

    + Familiarity with state-of-the-art software and infrastructure technologies.

    + Strong understanding of software and IT infrastructure in the context of national security programs.

    + Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

    + Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and cross-functional team environment.

    + Ability to lead and mentor development teams effectively.

    + Strong oral and written communications ability on significant technical matters often requires coordination within a high-tempo environment.
