    What You'll Do

    + Manage all aspects of assigned healthcare construction projects, including planning, budgeting, design coordination, construction administration, and close-out

    + Administer and oversee contracts for architects, engineers, contractors, and vendors

    + Coordinate closely with internal departments, physicians, leadership teams, contractors, and external agencies

    + Lead construction and renovation projects for off-campus physician practices, corporate spaces, and other non-acute facilities, incorporating property management considerations

    + Assist with and coordinate interior design, furniture and equipment (FF&E), signage, technology infrastructure, IT systems, and move-in/occupancy activities

    + Ensure compliance with state and federal construction regulations and healthcare codes

    + Oversee contractor bid selection, contractor performance, scheduling, and project quality

    + Manage multiple projects simultaneously, including remotely located sites across the enterprise

    + Travel regularly to project sites and report to the Metroview Building in Charlotte one day per week as part of a hybrid schedule

    + Support patient safety and uninterrupted operations during construction through effective planning and coordination

    + Communicate clearly through written reports, meetings, and professional phone interactions

     

    What We're Looking For

    Education

    + High School Diploma or GED, required

    + Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management, preferred

    Experience

    + Three years of successful construction project management and supervision of hospital construction or renovation projects, required

    + Experience in property management and managing off-campus medical or corporate facilities, highly preferred.

    Knowledge & Skills (Required)

    + Knowledge of state and federal construction regulatory requirements for the healthcare industry

    + Working knowledge of healthcare codes and standards, including IBC, ADA, DHSR, Life Safety, JCAHO, ILSM, and NFPA

    + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents

    + Strong understanding of construction administration, project management, budgeting, purchasing, and contractor oversight

    + Proficiency with scheduling and project management systems

    + Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills

    + Strong client service mindset with the ability to understand and exceed customer expectations

    + Ability to work effectively with individuals of all cultures and levels of authority

    + Ability to travel enterprise-wide and manage multiple contractors, architects, and engineering firms concurrently

    Physical & Work Requirements

    + Some sedentary work with frequent walking at project sites

    + Ability to relocate office equipment or furniture as needed

    + Manual dexterity and ability to use standard office equipment (computer, phone, copier, etc.)

    + Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing

    + Ability to read computer screens, printed plans, and reports
