The Lending Services Data & AI Solutions Intern provides support to the Lending Services team by assisting with data management, business intelligence reporting, and introductory AI projects. This internship offers hands-on experience in commercial banking data workflows, Power BI reporting, and basic machine learning concepts, while developing professional skills in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with organizing and maintaining data related to lending workflows (e.g., loan origination, underwriting, servicing, portfolio management).

• Help prepare and clean data for analysis and reporting.

• Support the documentation of ETL/ELT processes under supervision.

• Help build and update Power BI dashboards and reports for loan performance and operational KPIs

• Assist with data refreshes, user access requests, and troubleshooting basic Power BI issues

Competencies Required:

• Willingness to learn and collaborate with credit executives, lending team members, analysts, and IT teams

• Ability to communicate clearly and ask questions when unsure

• Basic understanding of data structures and commercial banking concepts (preferred, not required)

• Interest in business intelligence, data analytics, and AI technologies.

• Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Finance, or related field

• Familiarity with Excel, Power BI, or other data tools (coursework or personal projects)

• Exposure to SQL, Python, or similar languages is a plus

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Formal Education & Certification:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Finance, or related field

Work Status:

• Internship (Full-Time or Part-Time, as agreed)

Supervisory Responsibility:

• None.

Travel:

• Minimal travel expected

Working Conditions:

• Conditions involve lifting no more than ten pounds, sitting most of the time, but may involve walking, moving, or standing for brief periods, and occasionally lifting and carrying articles like files, ledgers, folders, etc.
