The primary purpose of a dispatcher at Trinity Health PACE is to perform activities related to the Transportation Department, as well as maintaining the schedule and communication with the drivers, transportation supervisor/manager, center manager/director and maintenance personnel. Reroute the bus routes and driver assignments as needed to meet door-to-door transportation needs of the PACE Organizations' participants.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Know, understand, incorporate, and demonstrate the Mission, Vision, Values and Guiding Behaviors of Trinity Health and Trinity Health PACE (TH PACE) in behaviors, practices, and decisions.
2. Consistently demonstrate (leads by example) TH PACE Values to all internal and external customers (Participants, visitors, volunteers, and colleagues.) Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, propagating a calm environment throughout the office.
3. Execute assignments in a culture that is shared and collaborative across all divisions within TH PACE.
4. Perform all assigned tasks in accordance with our established policies and procedures, and as instructed by your supervisors. Follow work assignments, and/or work schedules in completing and performing your assigned tasks.
5. Promote and maintain collaborative relationships with managers, peers, and customers by effectively fostering a team environment, building consensus and resolving conflicts.
6. Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations, TH PACE Corporate Integrity Program, Code of Ethics, as well as other policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical and professional behavior.
7. In light of a disaster will know your disaster recovery, crisis management and business continuity plans and act within your role that is developed within the business continuity plan. Which may include working at another location, remotely from home, and maintaining constant contact with key personnel.
8. Attend and participate in scheduled training, in-service training, mandatory annual in-service training and educational classes as required/needed.
9. Ensuring safe and timely transportation of PACE Organization (PO) participants and perform dispatching activities to the Transportation Department.
10. Coordinate daily transportation operations, scheduling, and communication with the drivers, transportation coordinator, center manager and scheduler.
11. Coordinate and schedule daily delivery of home delivered meals, DME, supplies and needs from the pharmacy.
12. Assist department leader in organizing the scheduling of regular routes, participant off-site appointments, and trips.
13. Distribute in a timely manner to the Center the following day work schedules for each driver.
14. Reroute bus routes and driver assignments to meet the door-through-door transportation needs of the participants.
15. Inform the department leader immediately of any delays in the schedule or unusual occurrences.
16. Function as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) when appropriate.
17. Participate in and supports Quality Improvement Initiatives.
18. Act as a backup driver if needed and maintain the transportation software program.
