Shipping Clerk

**Location:** Fairland, IN

**Shift:** 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Rotating)

**Pay Rate:** $21.00 per hour

Job Summary

The Shipping Clerk supports warehouse operations by assisting the Warehouse Manager or Supervisor while serving as a key point of contact for customers, drivers, and warehouse staff. This role combines administrative responsibilities with hands-on warehouse support in a refrigerated facility.

Key Responsibilities

+ Provide customer service via phone and email

+ Coordinate with customers, drivers, and warehouse personnel

+ Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation

+ Verify product counts and complete load paperwork

+ Update Warehouse Management and Yard Management systems

+ Answer phones and perform basic clerical duties

+ Operate a sit-down forklift as needed

+ Follow all safety, food safety (if applicable), and company procedures

Requirements

+ **High School diploma or equivalent**

+ **Sit-down forklift experience required**

+ **Ability to obtain in-house forklift certification**

+ **Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks**

+ **Basic computer and data entry skills; Excel experience preferred**

+ **Strong communication and organizational skills**

+ **Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed**

+ **Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check**

Working Conditions

+ Refrigerated warehouse environment with very cold temperatures
