Job Description:
Reports to the Director of Biomedical Engineering. Manages biomedical systems installation, maintenance and repair activities for Essentia Health facilities in accordance with company policies, regulatory and accreditation requirements. In addition to human resources and fiscal management, responsibilities include: Customer relationship management & communication, vendor relationship management; asset maintenance management, technical problem solving; and project and operations management.
Education Qualifications:
Key Responsibilities:
+ Manage day-to-day activities of the Biomed Staff
+ Ensure accurate reporting of service completions
+ Ensure timely completion of Preventive Maintenance tasks
+ Ensure staff accurately report attendance
+ Ensure staff comply with organizational standards
+ Manage the schedule of the team
+ Meet with the team on a set cadence to ensure clear communication of organizational expectations
+ Manages expenses related to service of the equipment
+ Identify training opportunities for staff
Education Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s degree in electronics, biomedical engineering/technology, information technology, or business/management
Required Qualifications:
+ 5 years’ related experience, including leadership experience
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience working in the medical service field
+ Experience with Microsoft Office Products
+ Familiarity with CMMS programs
+ Familiarity with NFPA as it relates to medical equipment
+ CBET certification
Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
If overseeing Biomedical Imaging:
+ State of Minnesota Department of Health Radiation Control Unit License eligible or active
